Boundaries
New summer exhibition at the Devon Guild of Craftsmen
28 June – 7 September
Our newest exhibition ‘Boundaries’, runs from 28th June and features innovative designs by craftspeople working across disciplines, media and ideas. It includes unique kinds of furniture, sculpture and print as well as glass, clay, and textile work. Experimental photography, cross-country textiles and anatomical furnishing, all feature here.
Our Jubilee Gallery has been part of a region-wide Guild (an organisation of members) since 1955 when only a handful of Devon-based makers got together to mutually support, help sell and show their work. Now we are housed in our own beautiful old Mill and have around six top-quality exhibitions a year. As well as showing internationally known artists and makers, the Guild puts on themed exhibitions, dedicated to our Members. These provide them with a chance to produce new and individualistic work and for us to showcase fresh talent.
Innovation is the focus of Boundaries. Work by new and established South West makers has been selected for its quality and innovation. Unusual ideas, new directions and products that cut through boundaries will be on show to inspire and challenge viewers. (ADMISSION FREE)
NB. Jonathan Wright’s showcase may be subject to change so please contact us for further details.
Opening Times: 7 days a week 10am - 5.30pm

The international sculptor, Peter Randall-Page will talk about recent projects and emerging themes in his work.
Peter has exhibited from Japan to the US and Australia. His large-scale sculptures are on
permanent display at the Eden Project, in public spaces in Edinburgh, Cardiff, Newcastle,
Manchester and Yorkshire and he is also represented at the Tate Gallery.
Peter's sculptures are inspired by organic forms and the way natural growth combines
geometric order with chaos and sensuality. Advance booking essential.
